Reconnect With Your Clients This Summer.

In just a few days, it will officially be summer! It’s finally time to slow down the pace, crank up the barbecue, and . . . touch base with your clients.

Calling them to see what’s new with their financial situation is an excellent idea. Obviously, clients will be happy to hear from you all year round. But in the summer, when living is a bit slower, they may welcome your call even more.

Another possibility: Give them an interesting article or book to read. In this regard, NEB’s consumer-protection guides are useful client-education resources. We currently have guides to investment scam prevention, identify theft prevention, and financial records protection. These short, easy-to-read guides give clients practical ideas for securing their finances—and build good will for you.

So don’t let summer slip away without  reconnecting with your clients. If that contact helps them stay safer in the financial services marketplace, all the better.
